Comparing the two

There are a few extra details that set these two laptops apart that may be worth mentioning. The ZenBook 3 Deluxe hosts an additional two USB-C ports. These ports also offer faster transfer speeds thanks to Thunderbolt™ 3 technology. These may come in handy if you’re regularly plugging in multiple peripherals.

The ZenBook 3 Deluxe has a wider range of memory and storage options available. In terms of raw processing power there’s no difference between the two, but the UX490 can have up to a 1 TB, while the ZenBook 3 caps out at 512 GB. For those working with a lot of media files, this upper level of local storage may be a deciding factor.

Again, the biggest difference is in the screen size: 12.5 inches compared to 14 inches. Though this also results in a difference in overall physical dimensions, the ZenBook 3 Deluxe manages the significant increase in screen size with very modest increases in chassis size, thanks to an ultra-slim 7.46 mm bezel.

Tech-savvy professionals that need a full-blown desktop PC will likely lean towards the ZenBook 3 Deluxe thanks to its extra inputs, bigger screen, and higher storage options, but the ZenBook 3 still has a place with those that are constantly on the move and place a priority on portability. Either way, you’ll enjoy premium craftsmanship, a slim design, and incredible performance.
