Meet the ASUS ZenFone 3 Deluxe

Determined. Desirable. Distinguished. The ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS570KL) raises the bar in every department.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe makes a bold visual statement thanks to its invisible antenna architecture. Lines that are taken for granted on most metal phones are nowhere to be seen along the edges or rear. The outer edge is accented with 0.14 mm diamond-cut bevel. At its thinnest, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is a mere 4.2 mm. Meanwhile, the curved rear provides full ergonomic comfort. For the fashion-conscious, Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver, and Sand Gold options are all available. Once the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is in your hands, it’s easy to appreciate the craftsmanship at play.

Screen

The front face is dominated by the 5.7-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display. A TV-grade 3,000,000:1 contrast ratio and over 100% NTSC color representation make for some really beautiful imagery. The slim 1.3 mm border provides the screen with 79% dominance of the front face. Covering the screen is Gorilla Glass 4, which is proven to handle the daily wear-and-tear of bumps and scratches. The next generation of the Tru2Life graphics engine enhances contrast optimization and video smoothness.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is one of the few phones out there with up to 6 GB of RAM. Combined with the 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 820-series 14 nm processor and Adreno 530 graphics co-processor, this phone can handle anything you throw at it. Games run flawlessly, and you can jump between multiple apps without a hitch. You can get up to 256 GB of local storage on the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, plus your microSD card. That’s a whole lot of music.

The ZenFone 3 series introduces a new fingerprint scanner. It’s perfect for unlocking your phone quickly and securely. You can also use it to authenticate with many popular apps. Placed just below the camera, the sensor can detect up to five different fingers applied from any angle.

The camera on the ZenFone 3 Deluxe is really something else. It uses an innovative autofocus system called TriTech that leverages an infrared laser, continuous autofocus, and phase detection to get a lock on subjects in 0.03s. The end result is a crisp, vibrant photo every time.

The 23 megapixel Sony Exmor RS IMX318 sensor employs Deep Trench Integration, which prevents light from bleeding between neighboring pixels when taking a picture. The 6p Largan lens is protected with a sapphire outer layer and enjoys a generous f/2.0 aperture. To avoid camera shake, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe uses 4-axis optical and 3-axis electronic stabilization. A new Color Correction sensor works alongside the dual-tone LED flash to detect RGB data. This keeps white balance accurate in less-than-ideal lighting situations.

Between 4K video recording and the 92 megapixel still Super Resolution mode, you’ll be able to capture every detail with the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Last (but not least) is the 8 megapixel wide-angle selfie camera on the front. Try out the built-in beautification mode to look your best.

The ZenFone 3 Deluxe features USB 3.0, Type C. This means a new reversible plug, fast data transfer speeds, and Quick Charge 3.0. With the 3,000 mAh battery and smart battery management software, you’ll never have to worry about getting through the day on a single charge.

A new five-magnet speaker system provides a greater level of audio fidelity than ever before. The NXP Smart Amp engine is able to crank up volume as needed without resulting in distortion. The Hi-Res audio processing improves sampling to be four times greater than CD quality.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is a huge software update with a lot of great new features going for it. ASUS has a few tricks up its sleeve, too. ZenUI 3.0 introduces Game Genie, which lets you livestream gameplay right from your ZenFone 3 Deluxe. An always-on mode ensures you can keep tabs on important information without having to wake your ZenFone 3.

A dual SIM card tray lets you ride on two cell networks at once. The 4G slot supports up to Cat 13 LTE, while the 3G can alternatively be used for your microSD memory card. Tack onto that 802.11ac support, a MIMO Wi-Fi antenna system, and Bluetooth 4.2, you’ll have all the connectivity you could possibly need.
